Two weeks to go until #BigBreakfast Week!

After the success of Big Breakfast Week in 2018, which saw the city come together around the issue of child hunger, in 2019 we are again running our #BigBreakfast campaign.

Between the 14th-18th October, we have top chefs from Bristol and Bath’s best restaurants running cooking events in 20 primary schools Breakfast Clubs. As well as events in schools, we are holding a Big Breakfast Launch event in our warehouse and plenty of other activities to raise awareness and funds for our vital work getting food to children most in need.

Children in schools across Bristol & Bath will hold cooking sessions in their Breakfast Clubs!

In the last 12 months we have quadrupled the amount of schools we support as we focus on tackling child hunger across Bristol and the South West. Our charity currently provides schools to 60 school Breakfast Clubs- and counting. As a result, around 4,000 children in deprived areas of the region eat FareShare South West food each morning to help them stay healthy, fed and ready for learning!

While Breakfast Clubs make sure children are no longer arriving to school hungry, child hunger is a year-round issue. As well as getting food into schools, FareShare South West is working hard to get food into hundreds of holiday projects, children’s clubs, community organisations and our brand new Pantry schemes.
