Raising vital funds for FareShare South West is a brilliant way to support our work, while spreading the word about hunger and food waste!

Fundraising for us helps us continue to redistribute surplus food to those most in need in our community. Every pound raised can help make four meals for the most vulnerable in our community. We can make a real difference thanks to our amazing fundraisers, and it can be a lot of fun too!

Whatever your skills or interests, there’s a fundraising option to suit you. Are you a passionate cook? A keen runner? Or a fantastic musician? We will support you and celebrate your achievements!

Hold a surplus feast

If you are part of a community organisation like your local church, school or university, you could throw a surplus feast to raise funds and awareness about the work we do.

Take on a challenge

Push yourself and achieve a personal goal while raising funds for FareShare South West. Choose your challenge, whether it’s a marathon, a mud run or a larger-scale adventure! Find out about our Bristol 10K running team here!

Give something up

Give up chocolate, plastic, food packaging- find something to give up that raises awareness of what we do, and get sponsored! This can be a really effective way of showing people you care about the cause and getting their support. Find out how one of our fantastic supporters and her family gave up sugar to raise money for FareShare South West.

If you’re thinking up a fantastic fundraiser, get in touch with Phoebe, our Fundraising and Communications Manager for more details and for support. You can email her at phoebe@faresharesouthwest.org.uk or call our office on 0117 954 2220.

The food waste hierarchy calls for food to feed people first

Food companies are legally obliged to use food to feed people before sending to anaerobic digestion or for animal feed. We help them use their surplus to feed people first.
