FareShare South West joins the dots between food waste and hunger, empowering communities to turn an environmental problem into lasting social good. We rescue tonnes of quality surplus food from the industry and share it with charities and schools to bring health, dignity and routes out of poverty for people across the south west. FareShare South West is a Real Living Wage employer. We believe everyone who works for us deserves a salary that meets the costs and pressures they face in their everyday lives. All employees, regardless of age, receive a minimum hourly wage of £12.60, higher than the government minimum of £12.21 per hour.

Hub Manager, Devon and Cornwall (Plymouth-based)

Reporting to: Head of Operations
Salary: £28,500 – £30,000, depending on experience
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, rota’d evening shifts and occasional weekends)
Terms: Permanent, 25 days holiday pa (pro rata, exc. Bank Holidays), 5% pension contribution
Location: Based at our Sisna Park Hub, Plymouth PL6, + ad hoc support to our Bristol Hubs (Little Ann Street BS2/Vale Lane Hub, BS3)

Purpose of the role

The Hub Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of a FSSW hub, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations that maximise the volume of surplus food received, stored, and distributed to our Community Food Members (CFMs). This includes managing a mixed team of staff, FareChance employability participants and volunteers in their operational tasks, maintaining high operational and health & safety standards, and collaborating with colleagues across food & logistics, compliance, and community engagement.

Community Food Produce Coordinator, Devon and Cornwall

Reporting to: Hub Manager
Salary: £25,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Terms: Full-time (fixed term contract to end March ’26, with possibility to extend beyond this date), 25 days holiday pro-rata (exc. Bank Holidays), 5% pension contribution
Responsible for: Volunteers
Location: Sisna Park Hub, Plymouth

Purpose of the role

Working with the Hub Manager & operations team, the Community Food Produce Coordinator will effectively support the warehouse operation, incoming goods, storage and dispatch of goods to Community Food Members (CFMs) receiving surplus food from FareShare South West to high levels of compliance and service. The role includes a focus on increasing the volume of food being redistributed, with particular focus on produce. This role will include supervision of a large and diverse team of volunteers throughout the week.

Hub Manager, West of England

Reporting to: Head of Operations

HGV Driver 7.5T – Surplus Food Redistribution

Reporting to: Head of Food and Logistics
Salary: £26,000-£27,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30 with flexibility required between 07:00–18:30 depending on shift pattern)
Terms: Fixed term until 31st March 2026, 25 days holiday pa (pro rata, exc. Bank Holidays), 5% pension contribution after 3 full months: there will be a requirement to work some bank holidays
Location: Plymouth

Purpose of the role

The HGV Driver plays a key role in FareShare South West’s mission to reduce food waste and fight hunger across the South West. You will be responsible for collecting surplus food from suppliers and delivering it to our Plymouth depot. The role primarily involves driving a 7.5T vehicle and may also require operating other vehicles in our fleet. As an ambassador for FareShare South West, you will provide excellent customer service to food suppliers and work closely with our operations team to ensure food is transported safely, efficiently, and with care.
