Why support FareShare South West? Because together, we can be part of better.
Our vision is a future where no food is wasted and all people can thrive.
At FareShare South West we join the dots between food waste and hunger, empowering communities to turn an environmental problem into lasting social good.
Our work enables groups like Gloucester Windrush Meal Venture to make a real difference to people’s lives.
Their volunteers deliver hot meals to elderly, disabled and vulnerable people in Gloucester – providing what, for some, they fear are the only home-cooked meals they eat. Additional provisions from the FareShare South West delivery are bagged up for those who need them.
Sharon, coordinator at Gloucester Windrush Meal Venture, says: “The support, and the partnership we’ve built with FareShare South West has made a real difference.
“The food bags they’ve helped provide have gone a long way in easing the pressures of the ‘heat or eat’ crisis many are facing. It’s a practical help, yes, but also a symbol of care — and that means the world.”
