Food Redistribution HGV Driver – Category C (Bristol)
Reporting to: Fleet Manager
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm with flexibility required between 7.30am and 4pm depending on shift pattern)
Terms: 12-month fixed term contract (with a strong possibility of transfer to a permanent contract), 25 days holiday (exc. Bank Holidays), 5% pension contribution after 3 full months: there will be a requirement to work some bank holidays
Location: Bristol

Purpose of the Role
The HGV Driver plays a key role in FareShare South West’s mission to reduce food waste and fight hunger across the south west. You will be responsible for collecting surplus food from suppliers and delivering it to our Bristol hubs.
As an ambassador for FareShare South West, you will provide excellent customer service to food suppliers and work closely with our operations team to ensure food is transported safely, efficiently, and with care.

Grants Officer
Reporting to: Grants Manager
Salary: £29,000 (pro rata)
Hours: 0.6-0.8 FTE / 22.5-30 hours per week (hours to be agreed Monday – Friday between 8.30am-5.30pm)
Terms: Permanent, 25 days holiday pa (pro rata, exc. Bank Holidays), 5% pension contribution
Location: Based at Central Support Office BS1 with some hybrid working optional. Will include occasional travel to our warehouses in Bristol and Plymouth and other partners across the south west. Central office will move location to BS4 in 2027.

Purpose of the Role
The Grants Officer will work with the Grants Manager to secure income from trusts and foundations. The Grants Officer is responsible for securing income for capital and revenue-based projects, from both existing and new funders.
They will lead on many smaller funding applications to grant-making trusts and foundations and will be responsible for developing relationships, prospecting for new opportunities and reporting back to funders. They will support the Grants Manager on larger funding applications to achieve team targets.

Purpose of the Role
The Head of Communications is a strategic role on the Senior Leadership Team, with responsibility for leading external and internal communications strategy, delivery and budget. The role is based within the Fundraising and Communications team, and delivers essential support across fundraising, membership, food, volunteering and employability. The Head of Communications also plays a key role uniting and connecting diverse teams across multiple sites.
This is an exciting time for the charity, with a new hub opening shortly in Plymouth, a major expansion in Bristol in 2027, and a forthcoming rebrand. The post-holder will play a central role in these developments and will have opportunity to help shape our identity, our public profile and our culture.
