The Businesses Supporting FoodStock 2021

In response to our FoodStock 2021 campaign, Bristol and South West businesses are stepping up to make a difference. Having support and engagement from our business community means we can deliver extra food to more people who need it this winter. We wanted to share just three of some of the shining examples of responsible business here in Bristol:

Rathbones: Rathbones are an ethical wealth management company. We are proud to announce a 3 year partnership with Rathbones’ Bristol office to support our upcoming programmes, including our upcoming Employability Programme, launching in 2022. Rathbones have supported us since the start of the pandemic, combining donations through the Rathbones Foundation with volunteer days for our emergency programmes. As we launch this partnership, we are looking forward to exploring other creative ways of engaging our two organisations for maximum impact.

Colliers: Colliers are a commercial property agency, and their Bristol team have been supporting us through a Charity of the Year partnership since 2020. They have been an incredible support throughout a very challenging year, listening and checking in with our team to find out how they can best help with volunteer days, donations and fundraising events. Most recently, their team transformed our garden space for volunteers at our South Bristol warehouse, and also ran a Bristol Bridge Walk fundraiser, walking 45km over 45 Bristol bridges to raise vital funds for our work.

Squarcle: Squarcle is an independent strategy and operations consultancy based in north Bristol. Another brilliant example of a responsible business, we have been bowled over by Squarcle’s commitment to support us. Alongside volunteering and other engagement, the Squarcle team have agreed to support us in our logistics strategy- one of the most complex aspects of the FareShare South West operation as we expand across the South West region. Their expertise will make an immeasurable difference to our work, helping our operation run more smoothly and efficiently.

Fieldandflower: fieldandflower are a South West meat box producer, who have sustainability and ethics at the heart of their company. We first partnered up in 2018, when they started sending their top quality surplus meat product to our warehouse. We were delighted to redistribute such luxury food to our charity members. More recently, they have supported us with donations to support our work. Since 2020 we have been proud to tell the story of the impact this partnership has had, with fieldandflower having donated enough for over 300,000 meals since our partnership began!

We welcome enquiries about partnership and collaboration with other Bristol and South West business. If your company would like to make a big impact on your community, please talk to us about the ways you could support by emailing fundraising@faresharesouthwest.org.uk.

The food waste hierarchy calls for food to feed people first

Food companies are legally obliged to use food to feed people before sending to anaerobic digestion or for animal feed. We help them do that.
